QR Tag Studio: Privacy Policy

Effective date: 9 October 2026

QR Tag Studio is an app that puts a QR price tag on a photo or video of an item. It is made by Conetca Technology Private Limited.

The short version

Your photos and videos never leave your phone because of this app: the tag is added on the phone itself. You can use the app without any account, and then it collects nothing about you.

If you sign in with a BIP POS account, the app reads that shop’s product list so you can pick an item instead of typing it. The app has no advertising and no analytics.

If you use the app without signing in

  • The item name or number, price and description you type are used to draw the tag and its QR code. They are not saved and not sent anywhere. They are gone when you leave the screen.
  • The only thing the app remembers is that you chose to use it without an account. That is kept on your phone.
  • Nothing about you is collected.

If you sign in with a BIP POS account

  • Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication, a Google service. It holds the email address, name and user ID of the account you sign in with.
  • The app then reads, from the BIP POS cloud (Google Firestore), your shop’s products (names, prices, barcodes, categories and pictures), your shop’s name and phone number, and the date your subscription runs to. It uses them to list your items and to make tags.
  • The app only reads. It does not change or add anything in your shop’s data.
  • If you sign in with a Google account that has no BIP POS shop, a sign-in record (email, name, user ID) is still created, and the app lets you type the item details instead.

That data is governed by the BIP privacy policy at bip-privacy.web.app.

What the app can access, and why

  • Photos and videos: only the one you pick in your phone’s own picker. The app cannot see the rest of your gallery.
  • Camera: when you choose Camera, your phone’s own camera app takes the picture and hands it to QR Tag Studio. The app does not hold the camera permission.
  • Internet: used only to sign in and to read a BIP POS shop’s products. Photos, videos and typed details are never sent over it.

Saving and sharing

The finished photo or video is saved to your phone’s gallery and handed to your phone’s share sheet. It goes only to the app you then choose (WhatsApp, for example). What that app does with it is up to that app.

What the QR code holds

The code holds only what you chose to put in it: the details you typed, or for a BIP POS shop, the item’s barcode, a link to the item in the shop’s online store, or the item’s name and price with the shop’s name and phone number. Anyone who scans the tag can read it, so do not type anything into a tag that you would not print on a price label.

How long data is kept, and how to delete it

  • Without an account there is nothing kept beyond the finished photos and videos in your own gallery, which you delete like any other.
  • A BIP POS account, and the shop data that belongs to it, can be deleted from inside the BIP app, or by request at bip-privacy.web.app/delete-account.html.
  • To have a sign-in record removed for an account that has no shop, write to us from that email address at the contact address below. We remove it within 30 days.

How your data is kept safe

Photos, videos and typed details stay in the app’s own private storage on your phone while a tag is being made. Sign-in and the reading of shop data go to Google’s servers over a secure connection (HTTPS), and a shop’s data can be read only by the account that owns it.

Children

The app is a tool for people who sell things and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
